Jane's Cake Station
265 Jalan Kayu 6481 1322 Even though Mother Day’s is a week away, our family decided to celebrate it earlier. Since I was working, I had to miss the event at my grandma’s house. But upon my request, my aunt agreed to order the cakes from Jane’s Cake Station which I have been wanting to try. The Durian Mousse Cake ($38 for approximately 1kg) looks very pretty. Since I don’t eat durian, I can’t comment on the taste. There are conflicting comments though. My mom, being a durian’s fan, thinks it tastes really good but my aunt says that the durian pulp is not thick enough and the cream covers the fragrance of the durian. The Chocolate Fudge Cake ($30 for approximately 1kg) is the one I wanted to try. Don’t be fooled by the dark, heavy and decadent appearance. This cake is very light and not cloyingly sweet. Even though I had it for breakfast the next day, the cake was still moist and just melted in my mouth. Yoke Yee also agrees it’s nice! The cream was a nuisance though. I had to scrap it away before enjoying the sinfully rich cake.
An advance happy mother's day to my mom and grandma! I love you. Labels: Desserts 2:10 PM ---------- WELCOME!
